finally, a break!

LONG WEEKEND!!!!! YESSSSS FINALLY!!! i've been waiting so so soooo long for one.
heh for the first time, i'm kinda thankful that there isn't bb parade this weekend. not that i detest going for bb parades or have to drag my feet to them of course; i enjoy them very very much! it's just that bb usually takes up my saturday morning and afternoon, so even long weekends like our good results holiday doesn't amount to much of a break, since i've got so much stuff to do!
i finally have time to sit back for a while and do the stuff that i love, like writing here on my blog (: oh how i've missed you, dear old bloggie who has seen me all through since i came to acsi! and i get to spend time with my dad and sister, just for the pure purpose of spending time together and having fun (: you know how good it feels, to finally not have to rush through my dinner and quickly go back to the computer and continue with work.
today's usually supposed to be tuan yuan fan for everyone... but my dad's side in malaysia couldn't come over, and we're only flying over to sabah tomorrow, so no reunion for us today haha. but dinner was really fun! we had chicken abalone soup with scallops from hong kong, then even had an after-dinner gorge on desserts :P ice cream from island creamery hahaha, and it was just really nice with the 3 of us sitting around the table and talking (: and later we're going to be watching the phantom menace as well, hahaha! yes yes i know, the idea of doing it is rather incongruous with the cny season, but doing it just sounds so... quaint :D haha it's just the nice idea of my dad, sister and my sitting in our living room and watching an old-school movie together :D
mmm, i feel like i can finally slow down, even if for this short while before i have to get cracking on work over chinese new year, and soak in the joy of His love (: you know, just loving the life that He's blessed us with (:
hehe, i'm just so joyful and peaceful right now, like WHEEEEEEE!!! i love my family, i love my friends, and i actually even love my class now! haha i can't believe that either really :P i love the time i've been able to spend with the people hoboing and working in the primers room after school each day, especially the group of people that were there yesterday but usually aren't --- matthew wong, gabriel lim, asher --- as well as my usual primers room pals --- shauny and puppy (: a pity mong wasn't there though... haha but it was quite amazing how we all managed to talk about and appreciate music despite our rather different tastes in music!
then getting a lift back from shauny the last 2 days as well; haha it's quite funny with his mom going on and talking so much! it's quite entertaining, really XD
mmmm it's just really been so so great being able to spend quality time with so many people (: i really feel so blessed just to be able to enjoy myself while talking to all you people (: and i never really realised how much i enjoyed it till i sat down today with this nice frame of mind and was able to reflect on it (: most important of all, is that i can sit and lie on my bed while doing my QT with God, without having any looming thoughts at the back of my mind telling me that i have an assignment due the next day :P my my it really feels so good!
that's what all quality time should be like, isn't it?- whether with God or with family and friends. you know, that pure and raw quality time spend together, with nothing festering in our minds, concerned about nothing other than being able to enjoy the company of one another. ahhh it's really so so good! haha i can't say it enough!
